Kari and I walked around this store downtown today, and it's pretty huge and has a lot of imported products, etc.
We were standing a the frozen meat section and I read this price-tag sign thing without thinking much about it and went "haha, I read it wrong." and then I realised I HADN'T read it wrong.

So what's for dinner mum?

How about some delicious RATTLESNAKE?

The realisation that the price tag actually said Rattlesnake and that we were holding a frozen rattlesnake in our hands produced a whole array of questions.

Who eats rattlesnake?!
Who buys a frozen rattlesnake for the small price of 240 dollars?!
What do you eat with Rattlesnake? Potatoes? Rice? Vegetables? Gravy?
Do you use a fork and knife or do you just start at one end and work your way down?
How do you prepare it?! Is it supposed to be cooked or steamed or roasted?
Can I find myself at a party being offered rattlesnake-appetizers?
How many has actually bought this oh-so-cheap rattlesnake to have for dinner?
and most importantly:
WHO EATS RATTLESNAKE?!

The Travis concert on Saturday was brilliant! It was very different from the Muse concert, but I think it's cause the bands are so different, so ultimately different things are going to suit them. Travis is such a warm, cozy, people-friendly type band, so it was natural for them to interract with the audience a lot.

It was kinda funny cause they got on, played the first song (which was Selfish Jean), and then Fran Healy just stood there watching us for a few moments. And then he goes: "We thought we were playing a small club....well..hi there...not-so-small-club!" LOL. It was in a huge concert tent with 5000 people lined up to see them.

They were really good. I think they got extra energy from the fact that it was such a big scale compared to what they were expecting.
The crowd was absolutely FANTASTIC on the songs they knew (Closer, Side, My eyes, Sing, Flowers in the window, etc), but they were crap on the songs they didn't know the words to. So on more ... 'unknown' songs they were pretty... er... calm :P

So here comes the good part!
best moment ever:
Turn is my favourite Travis song ever. I <3 it. but it seems that not many people there had heard it, or didn't know the words. The crowd was basically just standing there, nodding their heads and stuff.
We were standing pretty close to the stage, and when Turn came on I just went nuts XD. And I was like THE ONLY ONE. at least in the front. might have been some people far behind, for all I know, but I couldn't see anyone.
So I was the only one who put my hands over my head and sung my heart out to Turn.

Then suddenly I notice the bass player on the left (I was on the right, but he still saw me :P) was looking at me and grinning wildly and he nodded his head in beat to the music while he watched me. And that still hadn't really dawned on me when I noticed Fran Healy was looking straight at me. It took a few secs before I went "hey, is he looking at me?!". And then I got eyecontact with him and he grinned madly at me before we both started crying "Turn tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurn tuuuurn" again.

<3<3<3
'twas love!!
so in your face passive, boring crowd who didn't know Turn. IN YOUR FACE.

I moved into a new place this weekend. It's just as small as the previous one, if not smaller, but I like it better. And it's closer to the downtown and it has better bus connections. And behold, I have brought pics.

I just hope I like the people I'm gonna share space with. If they're horrid, it'll be a LONG year.
